Dronacharya award is highest award given to sports coaches in India.

It is named so after Guru Dronacharya, great teacher of Pandavas in great indian epic Mahabharata.

It is given by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, India.

# Eligibility for Dronacharya Award -

Outstanding and meritorious work on a consistent basis and enabled sportspersons to excel in international events over a period of four years
