for three digits :
split into easy digits like 102 . 103 , 104 
102 = 100 + 2 
102²= (100+2)²
       = 100² + 2² + 2 x 2 x 100 [( a+b)² = a²+b²+2ab]
similarly with  103 , 104 .....

find the prime factors of that number and if the factors r paired then the number is a perfect square
