Unplanned Industrial Developments are actually the fulcrum of Industrial Disasters only. It leads to loss of lives, loss of capital & infrastructure and leads to a slowdown of development. It leads to many industrial disasters. It leads to environmental pollution of air, water, land altogether. It disrupts the natural ecosystem by having an harmful effect on the natural flora and fauna. Also, there is an extreme wastage of natural as well as conventional resources of energy.
One such example is the Bhopal Gas tragedy in 1984 whose ill-effect can be seen till date in that area or the Mumbai oil spills in 2010 or the Dhanbad coal mine disaster in 1965 killing 300 miners.
