Enzymes by various parts of alimentary canal.
Explanation:
- Stomach - chief cells secrete pepsin which is in inactive form called pepsinogen, later converted to active pepsin by HCL, other enzymes include amylase( breaks starch into sugar) , protease(breaks proteins into amino acids) , lipase(breaks lipids into fatty acids).
- Salivary glands- enzymes such as salivary amylase also called ptyalin is secreted in salivary glands , it breaks starch into simple sugars.
- Pancreas- secretes enzymes such as trypsin (protein digestion ), chymotrypsin (protein digestion ), amylase and lipase (breakdown of fats).
- Gall bladder- it secrets bile which emulsifies fats into tiny droplets.
- liver- ALT( alanine transaminase), AST( aspartate transaminase) , ALP( alkaline phosphatase) ,lipase etc.
- Duodenum - which is the first part of small intestine has enzymes such as trypsin, chymotrypsin , enterokinase etc.
