Two of the major factors for river pollution are:Factories- many factories throw their waste straight into the ocean/rivers nearby. It is obviously cheaper and easier for them to throw the waste rather than recycle/figure a solution (and there are many) that will not pollute and destroy.Oil- Oil is another factor that we tend to find in a high position when talking about pollution. Once again, as a result of factories, massive production, human's waste, car's waste etc, oil slicks are found in rivers and seas, polluting and destroying their natural form, pattern and most importantly the lives of the creatures that might live in there.
