The shortage of Freshwater is caused by many reasons some of the main resons are-
Industrial factories dumping too much wastes in freshwater resources (rivers)
People wasting too much of water where water is available so the water prone areas suffer.(cities)
People using freshwater resources for domestic purposes which dirties the water
Agricultural waste/chemicals flowing into freshwater reservoirs by rain which contaminates it.
