Other factors that can raise the risk of having essential hipertension include obesity ; dial beats ; stress ; insufficient intake of potassium , calcium and magnesium ; lack of physical activity ; and chloric alcohol consumption .

Blood Pressure- The pressure exerted by the flowing of blood on the elastic walls of arteries. As we know that blood flows in a closed vessel so it would also be exerting some kind of pressure on the walls of these vessels. As soon as the blood is pumped into the arteries it exerts a Pressure on the artery wall and that Pressure is known as Blood Pressure.

Blood Pressure may be affected by the following factors

1. Exercise- It occurs at time of heavy or physical labour Blood Pressure increases.

2. Body Posture- When a person relaxing person blood pressure is low as compared to a standing man.

3. Emotions and Excitement- It can be seen in over excitement or emotions which leads to increase of blood pressure in man. At the time of adrenal secretion at the time fear and some hereditary condition blood pressure is increased.

4. Sex- In women blood pressure is slightly low as compared to men.

5. Obesity- In obese persons blood pressure increases.

• Instrument which measure blood pressure is called is sphygmomanometer.

In human generally Blood Pressure is measured in branchial artery.

• Normal B.P. of a healthy person is 120/80 mm Hg.
