1.The Greater Himalayas:
* It prevents the bitterly cold winds coming from Central Asia and siberia to enter in India which prevents Indian subcontinent from getting freeze.
* It obstruct the South West Monsoon winds and provides rainfall in Northern India.
2. Latitude:
* The climate is extreme or continental type in places near to equator.
* The climate is moderate or marine type in places far away from the equator.
3. Altitude
* The temperature decreases on moving towards High altitude area
* The temperature increases on moving towards low altitude area.
4. Distance from the Sea
* The places far away from the sea experiences extreme type of climate
*The places near to the sea experiences moderate climate.
5. Western Disturbances
* These are the winds which turn towards northern India by jet streams in winters which provide rainfall in punjab and haryana.
