The four domains of the earth are Lithosphere, Hydrosphere, Atmosphere and Biosphere.

  • The Lithosphere is the solid portion of the earth such as the land area, soil, rocks and mountains.
  • The Hydrosphere is the area and volume covered by the water, which is undoubtedly more than the lithosphere.
  • The Atmosphere is the air and gases present in the remaining volume of the earth. They are present as four protective gas layers in the sky.
  • The Biosphere is the narrow zone of earth where all three domains are found together.
