These are the four main stages of mitosis. Prophase- Centrioles start moving apart and reach opposite poles. Metaphase- Each chromosome gets attached to spindle by its centromere. Anaphase- Centromere attaching the two chromatids divides. Telophase- Two sets of daughter chromosome reach opposite poles.
