What are the functions of plasma? Figure out three points with explanation.

Helps  in transport of food materials --⇒ Food materials  that  are absorbed by blood like glucose , amino acids etc... Theses nutrients are transported by the plasma to the different parts of the body.

Supply  of raw materials --⇒ Supplies raw materials like Iodine to thyroid gland, calcium to bone etc..

Water balance --⇒ Regulates the water balance of the body by supplying to dessiccating regions and withdrawal from oversaturated regions

Plasma is the liquid part of blood excluding blood cells. Plasma serves as a transport system delivering various materials to and from cells. It helps many substances to move freely throughout the body. It consists of water in which many substances are dissolved includingplasma proteins, salts, food substances, hormones, digested and waste excretory products.
