Functions of suicidal bags and control room of the cell:

Lysosomes are known as the ‘suicidal bags’ of the cells. The lysosomes are small membranous vesicular structures in the cytosol filled with enzymes. They are involved in a process known as autophagy or self-eating where cells manage cellular waste and debris by digesting them. This is to maintain recycling of cellular components. Under unfavourable cellular conditions they can also digest the cells.

Nucleus is known as the ‘control room’ of cells. The nucleus contains the DNA, different ribonucleoproteins that are involved in replication, transcription and translation to produce cellular RNA, proteins, receptors and signalling molecules. The nucleus is the centre for directing all cellular functions and for heredity.
