Hola!!!

==================================

There are 3 main parts of brain》》

1)Forebrain
==========

● Olfactory lobe - percieve smell

● Cerebrum

•Largest part of human brain.

•lt has 2 hemispheres divided by a groove.Righr part control left side of the body and left part controls right side of the body.

•There are a number of grooves and folding to accomodate more number of neurons.

•lt is the site of conciousness.

•lt is the site of intelligence.

•lt controls the voluntary activities.

● Diencephalon

•It is associated with hypothalamus( which is connected to pituitary gland (master gland of human body)).Thus can have some some hormone secretions.

2)Midbrain
=========

● Optic lobe - percieve vision.

● Cerebral pedungle - Make connection between hind brain and mid brain.

3) Hindbrain
===========

● Cerebellum -

• 2nd largest part of brain.

•Balance body and coordinate mascular activities.

● Pones - Regulate respiration

● Medulla oblangatta
(Hind part of the hind brain from where spinal cort originates.)

•Controls various involuntary activities.

•Controlling centre of reflexes such as coughing , sneezing etc.

Heyaa folk,

The cerebrum is divided into four lobes :
frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital. The cerebrum is the largest part of the brain and is composed of right and left hemispheres. The cerebellum is located under the cerebrum. The brainstem includes the midbrain, pons, and medulla.

✪ Functions of Midbrain -

The midbrain serves important functions in motor movement, particularly movements of the eye, and in auditory and visual processing.

✪ Functions of Pons -

The pons contains nuclei that relay signals from the forebrain to the cerebellum, along with nuclei that deal primarily with sleep, respiration, swallowing, bladder control, hearing, equilibrium, taste, eye movement, facial expressions, facial sensation, and posture.

✪ Functions of medulla -

The medulla oblongata connects the higher levels of the brain to the spinal cord, and is responsible for several functions of the autonomous nervous system which include: The control of ventilation via signals from the carotid and aortic bodies. Respiration is regulated by groups of chemoreceptors.

Hope it helps u :)
