fundamental quantities are important quantities like length,weight,luminous intensity,current,etc...these quantities do not depend on other quantities

but derived quantities are those quantities which are derived from fundamental quantities..they are dependent on fundamental quantities
like velocity.
here velocity is equal to distance / time
so here distance and time are fundamental quantities
acceleration,torque etc are derived quantities

Question;- what are fundamental and derived physical quantities?

Answer:- physical quantities :- this quantity is generally classified into two

€. Fundamental quantities

€. Derived quantities

€. Fundamental quantities
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fundamental quantities are those quantities which neither be derived from other quantities nor be resolved into further more basic quantities and in terms of which all other quantities can be derived
For eg;- mass, length, time etc
€. Derived physical quantities
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Derived quantities are those quantities which can be derived from fundamental quantities
For eg:- velocity, acceleration, force etc
