Explanation:
Basic units or fundamental units are those on the basis of which other quantities are expressed. These units cannot be reduced further. Examples are meter,second,kilograms,kelvin etc. Derived units are those which are expressed in terms of base units. Each derived unit can be reduced to the corresponding base units.
