what are the gases liberated when dilute hydrochloric acid reacts suggest the experience to identify these gas dry hydrogen chloride. gas does not exhibit acidic property why ❓

Answer:

hydrogen gas is released.it can be identified by using wet blue litmus paper, if colour changes to red then h2 gas is liberated otherwise not. If dry blue litmus is used , there will be no effect on it because in absence of water h+ ions are not liberated.
