General functions of blood are :-

1⃣TRANSPORATION OF OXYGEN: the blood carries oxygen from the lungs to the tissues with the help of haemoglobin.

2⃣TRANSPORTATION OF CARBON DIOXIDE"The blood carried CO2 from tissues to the lungs. It occurs partly in combination with haemoglobin and partly as solution in blood plasma.

3⃣FORMATION OF CLOTS: wherever there is as injury or rupture of blood vessels, blood forms forms a clot to prevent the further loss of blood.

4⃣DISTRIBUTION OF ENZYMES: some enzymes are transported by the blood.

5⃣DISTRIBUTION OF HARMONES: hormones are decreased by the endocrine which are ductless glands and are transported by blood.
