The gum yielding trees is rubber, etc. We should collect those in a bucket with the rope tied in the tree so that it cannot fall from the tree

Gum is one of the plant product that is formed  from the disintegration of plant cellulose. The important gum yielding trees are Acacia nilotica (babul), Steruculia urens (kullu), A catechu (khair), Anogeissus latifolia (dhawra),  Bauhinia retusa (semal), Butea monosperma (palas), Lannea coromandelica (lendia) and Azadirachta indica(neem). Gums can also be extracted from seeds . From plants like guar, tamarind, Cassia tora etc.

Almond gum is an edible gum collected from almond trees in my surroundings.

Almond tree bark secretes the gum. Once it dried I removed them with help of knife with the guidance of my mother.
