Growth hormone (GH) :

- This hormone is more effective in the presence of thyroxin.
Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH):
- It stimulates synthesis and secretion ofhormones of thyroid gland.
Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH):
- It stimulates synthesis and secretion of hormones of adrenal gland.
Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH):
- In females, FSH stimulates growth and development of ovarian follicles.
- In males, FSH and androgens regulate spermatogenesis.
Luteinizing hormone (LH):
- In females, LH induces ovulation of Graafian follicles and maintains the corpus luteum formed from the remnants of Graafian follicle.
- In males, LH is called interstitial cell stimulating hormone (ICSH). It stimulates interstitial cells to secrete testosterone.
