Levels of conflict in an organization

Competitive level, this is whereby a person takes a position and sticks to it.  The leader states what he wants and must be persuasive and negotiate and have knowledge to support the request.

Collaborative level, were ideas are deemed important  and considered, All the opinions and needs of a situation  and tries to come up with solution that uses the best of those ideas.

Compromising level which accomplishes a solution that keeps everyone  partly happy.

Accommodating level in a situation whereby the outcome is vital, but solving the problem is.  Here the leader gives up his own stance on a situation and allows others their way.

Avoiding level, the person simply refuses to make a decision.  It can be used when there is a person better suited to make the decision but he needs incentive to step in to a leadership role.

Type of conflict in an organization

Personal conflict, conflict can be personality and personal problems such as drug abuse, child care issues and family problems.

Intragroup conflict arise in group because of scarcity of freedom,position and resources.

Inter group conflict occurs in hierarchical level for example union verses management, a struggle between members of employees,

Role conflict includes the multiple roles of people play in an organization.
