  • THAT ELECTRON IN ORBITS CALLED DICRETE ORBIT OF ELECTRON IN WHICH THEY DON'T REDIATE ENERGY .
  • MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ELECTRONS IN ORBIT IS 2N²
  • ORBITS OR SHELL ARE FILLED IN STEPWISE MANNER
  • OUTERMOST ORBIT CANNOT HAVE MORE THAN 8 ELECTRONS .

Answer :

(1) Bohr's atomic model fails to account for finer details of hydrogen atom spectrum obtained from high resolving sophisticated spectroscope

(2) It can not explain the spectra of atoms other than hydrogen or multielectron atoms.

(3) It can not explain the splitting of spectral lines in the presence of a magnetic field (Zeeman effect) or electric field (stark effect).

(4) It fails to explain the ability of atoms to combine and form molecules by chemical bonds
