The limitations of the Dimensional analysis are ⇒

1. Dimension analysis is not applicable in the case of the Logarithms equation, or the trigonometric functions.

2. The Dimension analysis used to drive only those formula in which only three physical quantities are involved.  If more than the three Physical quantities are involved then it cannot derive.

3. This methods is failed to derive the relations in which the exponential functions are involved.

4. Many different physical quantities have the same dimensions, although they may be different.
For example, Dimension of the Torque and Work is same. It does not exactly the nature of the Physical quantities in the Physical Equation.

Hope it helps.
