Limitations of Power of Election Commission:

The limitations of the power of the Election Commission of India also known by the name of ECI has many limitations over the power of exercise and control, it holds, which are enlisted as follows,

• The ECI has to work according to the enactment through which the ECI has been established.
• The protocol and measure have been amended time to time but are bound to the words as written in it.
• ECI checks the document and verify the candidature but it can never suggest the correct filing of the candidature.
• ECI can never suggest the political party for their candidature.
• Even ECI workers on duty cannot caste their vote.
