1. Soaps are not suitable in hard water.
2. Amount of foam produced is less.
3.quality of cleaning is much lower!

Hi friend....
✍✍✍Limitations of Soap are;
(1) Main disadvantage of soap is that it is not useful for washing clothes with hard water like sea water , tubewell water etc because , hard water contains Ca²+ and Mg²+ ions.A large amount of soap is wasted in reacting with these ions to form 'Scum', which is an insoluble precipitate.
(2) The scum formed , makes the cleansing process difficult.
(3) Lastly , it doesn't give lather easily in hard water.
