Main causes in the increase in greenhouse gases are -
- Coal and wood are domestic fuels which release carbon dioxide gas into the atmosphere.
- Coal is burnt in thermal power plants to generate electricity.
- Indiscriminate deforestation causes the imbalance in the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. With fewer plants, consumption of carbon dioxide will be less and thus less quantity of oxygen will be released.
