The general characteristics of kingdom Animalia are as follows −
  1.  Multicellular organisms.
  2. Eukaryotic cells
  3. They do not have cell wall.
  4. Devoid of photosynthetic pigments, so heterotrophic in nutrition.
  5. Ingestive nutrition and digestion.
  6. Higher level of tissue organization.
  7. Organs are internal.
  8. Organisms possess muscles for mobility and nerves for conduction of impulse.
