fragmentation occurs in much simpler organisms like algae or SPIROGYRA THEY CAN BREAK TO SMALLER PIECES TO REPRODUCE AFTER THEY BECOME MATURE ENOUGH THEY DO NOT HAVE A VERY COMPLEX STRUCTURE LIKE TGE ONCE IN MULTICELLULAR ORGANISMS SO THEY CAN MAKE FRAGMENTS WHICH CAN GROW TO NEW INDIVIDUALS.. ONE OF THE MAIN ADVANTAGE OF THIS PROCESS IS THAT THE NEW INDIVIDUALS ARE THE EXACT COPY OF THEIR PARENTS.. AND THEY CAN ALSO KEEP GROWING THEIR SPECIES THE CELL DIVISION TAKES PLACE DURING FRAGMENTATION WHICH ALLOWS THEM TO GROW MATURE..
