Even though democracy has been approved as the excellent form of Government in the modern world. Yet it has some problems. Some of those problems are listed below:

1. Social inequalities and Growing economic among the people:

• It is quite oblivious that all the citizens have the right to vote and fight elections. But only rich people get a chance to win these election. The underprivileged are pushed to sell their votes to fulfil their basic needs of life such as water, electricity, food, clothing and shelter.

2. Role of anti-social elements:

• During elections, there is sudden rise of the role of anti-social elements. Voters are forced to vote for a particular party or a specific candidate. Rigging also happens during the elections.

3. Corruption and inefficiency:

• In most democratic countries, government officials and political leaders are corrupt, inefficient and dishonest. Therefore, most of the citizens generally do not take any interest in the elections. They even have no faith or trust on the government.

4. Casteism and communalism:

• In many democratic countries, while distributing tickets for the election, political parties try to brainwash people . The representatives elected on the basis of community and caste work for the welfare of only their group's people.

But, there is no pre-prescribed method to encounter the problems faced by democracy of country. Resolutions to these challenges also depend upon the exclusive situation of a country.
