1.In USSR political powers was in the hands in one party.
2.Even though under great depression they improved their economy status.
3.In USSR democratic liberties were denied to all the citizens.
4.Opposition was eliminated through the use of force and denial of multi           party democracy.
5.USSR was moving ahead with economic reforms during world war 1.
6.In USSR landless peasants in russia were filled with hope of getting lands    and making their lives better.
7.In USSR workers were being given control of factories and industries by       the bolsheivek government.

1)the great depression lasted between 1929-1939
2)many members lost their jobs 
3)state took care of their most elementary needs like food ,housing,health,child and oldagecare and education.
4)there are certain similarities between these and the USSR reforms like state providing employment to all and healthcare,education etc..
5)more are different from that of the USSR like unemployment insurance,an oldage pension schemes etc..,
