what are the merits and demerits of multi party system of India?

merits...in multiple party system there are many ideologies,and one in the party has freedom to share his views and turn into another without any objection,and different kinds of views can be shared here for clarification.they formed a union goverment for the standard base of developement......

demerits; the union governments are basically weak so they have not been stable for a long time.rapid changes have been taken place so the long term plannings was not possible.actually the prime minister position was very weak and this goverment  was formed by the alliance of many parties ,so if anybody started poinying  on one issue others use to quarrel to stop...
