Earthing is usually done to prevent extensive damage to our body as well as domestic appliances.

When high voltage comes through electric wires, then our appliances can be damaged. Also, during lightining in the sky, a metal rod is connected to heavy metal plate beneath the building or house. This is also called 'earthing '.

There are two methods of earthing :

# Conventional earthing .

* it requires maintenance and pouring of water in regular interval...

* the conventional system of earthing calls for digging of a large pit into which a GI pipes or a copper plate is positioned in the middle layer of charcoal and salt.......

#Maintenance free earthing .
