1 there is a lack of good quality raw material the cotton output is highly volatile due to unpredictable raw material

2 use of outdated labour oriented machinary has increased the cost of production and has made industries less profitable

3 there is a sharp increase in the number of loss making industrial units due to labour and other problems

4 shortage of continuous power supply reduces the optimum uses of all factors of production .

5 competition from other materials had reduced the demand for cotton

6 competition from other country has effected its profit.
