The national coat of arms of Armenia was adopted on April 19, 1992. It consists of a lion and an eagle together holding a shield. On the shield, there are depicted the emblems of the four royal dynasties of Greater Armenia: Artashesian, Arshakuni, Bagratuni, and Rubinian
