• Due to the use of fertilisers and pesticides, the environment is harmed, since they contain harmful chemicals which pollute water and soil.

• The pesticides and insecticides used against pests and insects may also harm other birds or animals unintentionally.

• The chemicals used in agriculture like carbide and pesticides can also enter the human or other animal bodies and can cause diseases or even cause death.

• Due to the use of modern irrigation facilities, a lot of water can be drawn from underground reserves, but it also significantly decreases the water table below.
