Answer,
Newton has given three laws to describe the motion of bodies.
♦NEWTON'S FIRST LAW OF MOTION!!
An object continues to remain in it's state of rest or of uniform motion along a straight line in a particular direction unless an unbalanced external force acts on it.
Example, Suppose a book is lying on the table. It is at rest only when compelled by the force of our hands, that is, when we lift the book from the table.
The position of the book changed by the force of our hand.
Thus, it supports first law of motion.
• Inertia of rest.
• Inertia of motion.
• Inertia of Direction.
♦NEWTON'S SECOND LAW OF MOTION!!
Rate of change of momentum of an object is directly proportional to the external unbalanced force exerted on it. Force us equal to the product of mass and acceleration produced in the body.
Example, The karate players blow the hand fast to break a pile of tiles. By moving their hand fast, They reduce the time of momentum change of their habd from a large value to zero. This increases the force acting on the tiles and break them.
♦NEWTON'S THIRD LAW OF MOTION!!
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Action and reaction forces act on different bodies when they are in contact with each other.
Example, When rocket is propelled , huge quantities of exaust gases are expelled out in downward direction. The reaction forces exerted by these gases on the rocket in the opposite direction push it upwards into the space.
