The consumer protection Act of 1986 is often Abbreviated as COPRA 1986.

This act ensures the sustainability of the consumers' rights . It can be said that this act has its foundation laid at the very causes of the treatment the consumers would face one the transaction has been completed. Product promised and product delivered should match and if not by virtue of this law the consumer has every provision to replace it without getting involved into some messy brawls. The time bound redressal is also an effective consequence of this act.
