Other factor = (x^3 + x^2 + x – 3)

x^3 + x^2 + x – 3

Factors of 3 = ± 1, ± 3

p(–1) = (–1)^3 + (–1)^2 + (–1) – 3

= –1 + 1 –1 –3

= 0

p(–1) = 1^3 + 1^2 + 1 – 3

= 3 – 3 = 0
