Hind Brain:
It has 3 parts:-
- Pons
- Cerebellum
- Medulla Oblongata

1. Pons or Pons Varolii:-
- It's a small spherical projection, which is situated below the mid brain upper side of Medulla Oblongata.
- It has transverse and longitudinal nerve fibres.
Function:
- It regulates breathing reaction via pneumotaxic centre.

2. Cerebellum:-
- It's made up of three lobes.
- The lateral lobes of cerebellum are enlarged and spherical in shape.
- Outer part of cerebellum is made up of gray matter
- Inner part of cerebellum is made up of white matter.
Functions:-
- It's related with fine and skilful voluntary movements.
- This part receives impulses from voluntary mussels and joints then controls their movements.
- Cerebellum maintains body balance equilibrium and posture.

3. Medulla Oblongata:-
- It's tubular and cylindrical in shape.
- It's connected with spinal cord.
Functions:-
- It contains centres for controlling respiration, gastric secretions metabolism.
- It is also concerned with reflex actions.
