Caste and politics in the recent time shows a great changes as compared to that of the past times. Caste in Politics or Politics in Caste often has the great impact on the society as well as the individuals who are associated with it.

The positive aspects of Caste and Politics are :-

• The assimilation of caste and politics helped many downtrodden communities to came forward and live with the mainstream society.
• Also, it provide a platform to the backward community to put forward their demand in front of the working Government.
• The representation of the Depressed and oppressed sections through politicisation of caste increases in the decision making which engage the every section of the society through this.

The negative aspect of Caste and Politics are :-

• It promotes the feeling of separatism and hatred in the society.
• Caste politics often led to a chaotic society in which the level of tolerance goes down and violence takes place in little or bigger form.
• It engage people in the mindset of Groupism and alliances and devotion towards particular caste which gives rise to ideas like Caste Superiority and Dominant Caste.

• As a result of political mobilisation, Class struggle also seen in the society.
