The wastes from the hydropower projects are very high and it causes contamination of rivers as well as ground water levels.
Developers of hydropower projects are highly demotivated, which involves financial, environmental, social, regulatory and infrastructural problems. However, these issues can be effectively addressed through socio-political intervention and a suitable regulatory framework.
