Neutralization reaction:

Neutralization reactions are the reactions which occurs between acid and base. When equal strength of acid and base reacts with each other they neutralize each other.

So, due to neutralization of acid and base water and salt are formed. Hence the products of neutralization reaction are water and salt.

The neutralization reactions are given below:

\bold{\text { Acid }+\text { Base } \rightarrow \text { Water }+\text { Salt }}

\bold{\mathrm{HCl}+\mathrm{NaOH} \rightarrow \mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O}+\mathrm{NaCl}}
