A quadrilateral in which one pair of opposite sides is parallel is called a trapezium.
The properties of a trapezium are ----
i)one pair of opposite sides is parallel.
ii)two pairs of adjacent angles(which form pairs of consecutive interior angles) are supplementary.
Isosceles Trapezium : If the two non-parallel sides of a trapezium are equal,it is known as an isosceles trapezium.
Properties:
i) one pair of opp sides is parallel.
ii)two pairs of adjacent angles are supplementary
iii) angles on the same base are equal
iv) diagonals are equal in length

• A trapezium has exactly one pair of parallel sides.
• A line segment joining midpoints of non-parallel sides is parallel to the parallel sides.
• A line segment joining midpoints of the parallel side is half the sum of the lengths of its parallel sides i.e. mid-segment = 1/2 (base1 + base2).
• If a trapezoid is having sides a, b, c and d and diagonals p and q, the following equation holds
true - p² + q² = c² + d² + 2ab
• One pair of opposite sides are parallel
• Sum of angles is 360°
• Diagonals bisect each other
