A heterogeneous mixture .The diameter of its particles is larger than 1000 nm .The suspended particles precipitate , if it is left for a short time without shaking .The suspended particles can be be seen by the naked .The suspended particles can be separated by filtration because filter paper ( ultrafiltration membrane ) can hold the suspended particles, while the water passes through it.
