Various public amenities which a municipality provides and a Panchayat does not provide are-:
- Firstly the main difference between these terms that is a Municipality and a Panchayat is that the former deals with urban and semi-rural regions and areas whereas the latter one is established only in rural areas.
- Several infrastructure and amenities which the Municipality provides to the citizens are roads, schools, hospitals, public parks, public washrooms, drainage systems, garbage cans, ration shops and many more. Whereas the Panchayat provides gram schools, gardens, river basin construction, shelter, streetlights and many more.
- The distinctive amenities of the Municipality are the hospitals, hospitals, education infrastructure, ration shops, electricity wards, roads and many more.
- A panchayat's functions and several amenities are limited to the particular village itself but the Municipality deals with the whole city or state and has a larger area to deal with.
- They both play key roles in the system and are extremely influential. As a result of their efficiency, their respective regions grow and develop, leading to the growth and development of the nation.
