what are the reasons behind the population growth in India? Give example.

Causes of Over Population

The two main common causes leading to over population in India are:

The birth rate is still higher than the death rate. We have been successful in declining the death rates but the same cannot be said for birth rates.
The fertility rate due to the population policies and other measures has been falling but even then it is much higher compared to other countries

Population growth refers to the change in the number of inhabitants living in a particular area. The reason behind the population growth are as follow

•Death rate:- It refers to the number of deaths per thousand person in a year.

•Birth rate:- It refers to the number of live births per thousand person in a year.

•Migration:-It is a process in which people move from one place to another place due to biological or physical factors.It is of two types internal and international(external) migration.Internal migration refers to the movement of people inside the country. International migration refers to the movement of people outside the country,i.e from one County to another country.
