What are the reasons for Colonisation

The main reason for colonisation was that the parent country wanted more land. When there was not enough land for everybody to grow crops, or when the land was not fertile enough, the parent country looked for new land.

One of the main reasons for COLONIZATION is the industrial revolution in EUROPEAN COUNTRIES. it resulted in a great demand for raw materials and markets which developed into colonialism/colonisation.
Imperialism is a concept while colonialism is a practice
