What are the reasons for the failure of information system?

1. Design
Information systems are said to fail if their designs do not fit the overall structure, culture, and goals of the organization. Management and organization theorists consider that information systems technology is closely related to organizational components such as tasks, structures, people, and cultures. When all these components are interdependent, changes that occur in one element will affect other elements.
2. Data
Data in information systems have a high degree of inaccuracy and consistency. Information in a particular field is even confusing, or is not addressed appropriately for business purposes. The information required in a specific business function may not be accessible because the data does not match.
3. Cost
Some of the referral systems are good, but in implementation and operation cost over budget. In the meantime, in other systems it would cost a lot for the functioning of the system. In such a case, such a large expenditure can not be considered solely from the business value displayed by the information system but should also be taken into account the overall benefits.
4. Operation
The system will not work properly if information is not provided in a timely and efficient manner because the computer operations that control information processing are not working properly. Failed jobs often result in repetitions or delays and can not meet the information delivery schedule. An on-line system is not operationally operational enough if the response time is so long.

I hope this help :)
