The reasons for the origin of social differences are

By birth: such as caste , gender , religion , class , race , language, etc

By choice : such as occupation, level of education , changing the religion , becoming atheist , etc

The basic of origin of social difference are :-

most social difference are based on accident of birth . for example people may be tall , strong , weak girl or boy . some social difference emerge because people choose to follow certain practice , principles . for example, a person may be an atheist or may be feminist . some people may to convert to another religion . all social difference do not result in social divisions . sometimes , even people belonging to different religions may have common interest .
