Iron-Deficiency Anemia: Prevention. Iron-deficiency anemia is a common, easily treated condition that occurs if you don't have enough iron in your body. Low iron levels usually are due toblood loss, poor diet, or an inability to absorb enough iron from food.

Plenty of iron-rich foods should be taken by Anaemic patients. Primary diets are  tofu, green and leafy vegetables, lean red meat, lentils, beans and iron-fortified cereals and breads.

Eat and drink vitamin C-rich foods and drinks. Avoid drinking tea or coffee with your meals, as they absorbs  iron.

The following among non-meat foods that are good for anaemic patients:

1)Spinach and other dark green leafy vegetables.

2)Tofu.

3) lentils; white, red, and baked beans; soybeans; etc.

4)prunes, raisins, and apricots. :Dried fruits.

5)Prune juice.

6)Iron-fortified cereals and breads.
