1. Floods are one of the disasters that impose extensively destructive effects on the flooded area. It can occur due to multiple reasons, owing to natural and man-made causes.

2. Floods destroy agricultural fields, cultivations, houses constructed of muds, roads, and other resources.

3. Rescue operations are implemented to save the lives of the victims suffering the flood. Certain measures include-

a. Rescue boats are generated from the rescue management organization to shift the victims from the flooded region.

b. Victims are shifted to an elevated land.

c.  Equipped helicopters are sent to the flooded regions and food items are distributed to the victims.

d. Medical camps are present to provide first-aid. Emergency ambulances are arranged for serious conditions.
